TOPO:
If the weave moves, what moves through it?
RHEO:
Currents—
threads of movement and meaning,
sliding along the mesh.
TOPO:
Do they follow the threads,
or do the threads follow them?
RHEO:
Both.
A current will take the easiest path,
but the weave remembers the current’s path
and holds it open.
TOPO:
So each new flow
makes it easier for the next to follow.
RHEO:
And harder for any to go elsewhere.
TOPO:
Until the weave has rivers,
and the rivers have rules.
